EDI Climate Surveys: Listening in Action.
Oct 4 2023, 12-1pm EST.

Equity, diversity, and inclusion (EDI) Climate Surveys are common tools used by institutions to develop EDI Action Plans. However, the methodologies and approaches vary across how these are done, who does them, and what happens to them after the data has been collected. In this session, we will present best practices we have found to be effective that are not a checklist of recommendations but rather leads to a plan of action that produces intended systemic and structural changes. We will work through implementation strategies and look at the common areas in the academic research environment we should be paying attention to for EDI.
