Operationalizing EDI in Research
Operationalizing EDI in Research.
Nov 22 2023, 12-1pm EST.
When NSERC launched its Discovery Grant call in 2019 it included a new requirement to include Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI) statements. For most researchers this was an area they had rarely given thought to, so understanding EDI concepts and learning how to integrate them into grant proposals was uncharted territory. The University of Windsor has successfully implemented a strong program for providing EDI training for our researchers and conducting EDI reviews of proposals. This presentation will review the process for developing and deploying EDI training and grant reviews in the research ecosystem.
