Artificial Intelligence - just how artificial is it?
Artificial Intelligence - just how artificial is it?
Oct 17 2023, 12-1pm EST.
The buzz about recent developments which include the words Artificial Intelligence is so voluminous that by the time you read this abstract, one may argue it is already be out of date. But is it?
When it comes to academic research terms like Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, and Deep Learning are nothing new. Let's mute the buzz and explore what these technologies really are (yep, I'm going to try and explain how it works!) Then we'll define some of the terms (accurately) and review software and tools in this space objectively so we can aim to better understand what is really behind all the hype. Finally we'll evaluate what has actually changed and how it may impact research as well as your job and our future.
