Khadine Wiltshire is a graduate of the University of Windsor with a BA in Criminology/Sociology. She has made herself known throughout the Paediatrics and Research Institute community within SickKids with her zest and knowledge. Khadine began her career at SickKids as an Administrative Assistant in Child Health Services, transitioned to a Research Administrative Coordinator in the Division of Clinical and Metabolic Genetics and is currently a Senior Grants Officer in Grant Applications, Development and Awards, Research Operations. Throughout her roles at SickKids, Khadine has supported directors, physicians, scientists and other healthcare professionals, many with large research portfolios. Supporting such a vast group of staff has allowed Khadine to don multiple hats while honing her skills. She has coordinated Research Rounds, student award competitions and Research Symposiums. In 2020, due to her knowledge and expertise, Khadine was selected as Co-Chair of the RI Admin Professionals Group and provided the group with support and guidance in that role. She has extensive knowledge of the grant application process, grant agency guidelines, manuscript editing, formatting and submission, research ethics requirements and research finance. Khadine is also driven by her passion for EDI and has become an EDI Champion for the Hospital where she sits on the EDI Steering Committee and is the Co-lead for the EDI Initiative Task Force, Research Operations.
