Sarah Lampson

Executive Director

Sarah was appointed CARA ED in 2013 after more than a decade as a research administrator. With the support of the CARA board and many other great volunteers, Sarah has brought many new programs and initiatives to CARA and looks forward to another year of increased services to our members. A Certified Association Executive, Sarah previously worked in various progressive roles at McMaster University, Associated Medical Services, University Health Network and Hamilton Health Sciences. Sarah co-authored the reference e-book  The A-Z Guide to Research Contract Review, its companion the Research Contracts Study Guide and  Steer Your Career: A Research Administrator's Manual for Mapping Success  which are in use at 450 institutions globally. Sarah received national and international recognition for her contributions to research administration and is a faculty member in the Research Administration Certificate at Mohawk College.

Kaleb Antonides

Professional Development and Membership Services Coordinator

Kaleb joined CARA in April of 2018 and is looking forward to joining the great network of research administrators in Canada. Kaleb graduated with a Bachelor's of Science with a major in Health Science and a minor in Business from Redeemer University in 2016. Kaleb has had multiple internship experiences with non-profit organizations and physiotherapy clinics, as well as an internship with the Australasian Society of Lifestyle Medicine in Melbourne, Australia focusing on healthy lifestyle and chronic disease management research. Kaleb is passionate about research and enjoys learning about breakthrough and innovative research around the world in order to promote healthy living. In his free time, Kaleb enjoys playing hockey, golf, board games as well as enjoys hiking and travelling. 

Michel Kafrouny

Administrative Coordinator

Michel graduated with a Bachelor's of Science with a major in Business Management and a minor in Hospitality & Tourism Management. He decided to move to Canada in 2017 and pursue his post graduate studies and graduated with a Masters in Event Management. Michel always has possessed a strong desire to engage beyond the mere sense of being involved. During the past years, he has been very active in many extra-curricular activities, parallel to his academic life. The skills he has grasped and gained through the roller-coaster ride he was on have allowed him to succeed academically and professionally through the numerous successful events and achievements as an employee. With every major highlight he has been involved in throughout the past years, his sense of responsibility, volunteerism, teamwork, creativity, hard work, attention to detail, time management, and leadership developed further and became embedded in his personality and mode of life.
