Scott Baker has a B.A.Sc in Electrical Engineering from UBC, holds CISSP, PMP, ITIL, and Lean 6-sigma Green Belt certifications.
He is the leader of the CARA IT-SIG and has over 20 years of experience managing people, projects, and systems.
He joined the BC Cancer Agency Genome Sciences Centre in 2014 bridging the IT/Systems and Project Management teams managing multiple CFI grants. For the previous 20 years Scott managed a Internet application development and marketing firm working with clients across a broad range of industries including private sector, non-profit, and government organizations. He has designed social media marketing campaigns and managed accounts for a variety of these groups and presented workshops across North America on the subject.
