Canada has one of the best housing systems in the world. But some 1.7 million families still don’t have a home that meets their basic needs.
To help address this, the federal government announced a 10-year, $40 billion National Housing Strategy (NHS) that will help reduce homelessness, improve the availability and quality of housing for Canadians in need and strengthen the middle class.
As part of the strategy, there will be a suite of research programs delivered by Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation in partnership with SSHRC, NSERC and CIHR, that will bolster research capacity, recognize excellence in housing-related research, build capacity across the career continuum and provide the opportunity to bring experts and a range of housing stakeholders together to rapidly incubate and scale potential solutions to housing issues.
This webinar will provide an understanding of the research opportunities available under the National Housing Strategy and share how the programs can be accessed.
