Gwen Hill (she/her) is of Scottish, English, and French heritage, and is grateful to reside on the lands of the W̱SIḴEM 'tsee-com' First Nations. She is passionate about building truly safe and inclusive places to live, work, and learn. As Co-Lead of the Equity, Diversity and Inclusion Capacity-Building Project and Research Development Coordinator, Gwen's work at Royal Roads focuses on the intersections of research and equity. Gwen holds a Master of Arts in Interdisciplinary Studies with a focus on intergenerational communication, and a certificate in Inclusive Leadership.

Nicole Kaniki is the Special Advisor on Anti-racism to the President of Western University, and also works as a Research Consultant and EDI Specialist at Western Research. She is the Director of Senomi Solutions, a diversity consulting company that provides strategic EDI support and training to organizations and institutions. Nicole has a passion for social justice and uses an anti-racism and decolonization framework in her EDI work. Nicole holds a MSc in Sports Medicine, and a PhD in Measurement and Methods. She is currently completing a MA in Women’s Studies and Feminist Research with an emphasis on EDI in Canadian Academia.

Diane Hanano is the Interim Director of Institutional Strategic Awards at Simon Fraser University. She also continues her role as the Canada Research Chairs Lead, where she is responsible for managing SFU’s allocation and ensuring that equity, diversity and inclusion requirements are met. As a Research Project Manager, she has mainly focused on pre-award management of proposals for institutional programs and large-scale grants. Diane holds a Master of Science in Geochemistry from the University of British Columbia.
