The webinar covers topics to develop knowledge and understanding of concepts for sound financial management within a research project (with examples from the Canadian academic and public funding environment). Topics include project launch and set-up, controlling and monitoring, close-out reporting and audit preparation.
This webinar series covers project budget development and goes into detail on expense categorization and some templates to get started in preparing a project budget. Also covered are cost management elements such as expense control and reporting, as well as key considerations in research project finance. No prior experience required - for those new to project cost management or those looking for a refresher on this topic. Introduction to Project Management series recommended but not required.
Each webinar can be taken on its own. Members that attend all three sessions will receive a certificate of completion for this Project Cost Management series.
