Research managers and administrators come from all walks of life and arrive in this profession from a number of varied career tracks and backgrounds. We also have the difficult position of both providing support and ensuring complianceâ€”two roles that are often at odds with each other. Add to this our position as being instrumental to the research enterprise, but not exactly a member of the research team. How do we reconcile just unique role that is oftentimes caught between two competing interests? In this webinar we will talk about a few of these issues, but will really focus on how we can transcend this role through the formation of super teams of professionals in whom is embedded the core strengths of values/ethics, an understanding of roles and responsibilities, the ability to communicate effectively with anyone and lastly the capacity to be a member of multiple and varied teams throughout the research enterprise.
