Research Administration Structural Overview

Nov 7 2024, 12-1PMEST.
Have you ever wondered how other universities structure their research administration departments and the responsibility of each department? Every University has a different way of providing post award support. Join co-hosts from University of Alberta, University of Waterloo, Wilfrid Laurier University and University of Victoria who will discuss the structure of their research administration teams from a finance perspective. There will be a discussion of the size of their university, the departments that offer post award support and the tasks that each department is responsible for. It will include thresholds for reviewing expense claims, percentages of overhead and subaward holdbacks. The purpose is to share this information to generate ideas of how to be more efficient.

The co-hosts have completed a survey and will share their surveys with webinar attendees. The survey will be available for the webinar attendees to also complete after the webinar and to share with the group.
