CARA is a dynamic organization with a myriad of activities that benefit research administrators across Canada. Our members receive announcements via our list-serve and The CARA Connection, our e-newsletter. Additionally, anyone can follow us on Twitter, view our website, and join our LinkedIn group to experience all the work we are doing in such things as professional development, advocacy, and mentoring.

       

CARA is pleased to announce a new partnership with Mohawk College to the benefit our membership! Mohawk College, in partnership with CARA, will deliver the Research Administration College Certificate program which is aimed at pre-management research administrators or those planning a career in research administration. In one year, students can complete the fully-online program and acquire practical knowledge that will prepare graduates for a successful and rewarding career in research administration. Registration for the first cohort will open August 10, 2017.

The Canadian Association of Research Administrators (CARA) is a national voice for research administrators in Canada. With more than 1000 members, our professional organization's strength is in its diversity and comprehensive approach to research administration. CARA provides a critical interface between all stakeholders in the management of the research enterprise.  

This second call invites informed subject experts to present at the 2018 national conference on topics such as: research facilitation and development; industry and community liaison; research ethics; regulatory compliance; knowledge mobilization; international research; or any other relevant areas.

Presenting at the CARA national conference provides you with an excellent opportunity to share your knowledge and learning experiences, increase your exposure, and network with other research administrators and research managers.

Call for Workshops

The Canadian Association of Research Administrators (CARA) is a national voice for research administrators in Canada. With more than 1000 members, our professional organization's strength is in its diversity and comprehensive approach to research administration. CARA provides a critical interface between all stakeholders in the management of the research enterprise.  

CARA workshops are designed as in-depth explorations of topics of relevance to research administration. This second call aims at topics such as: research facilitation and development; industry and community liaison; research ethics; knowledge mobilization; or any other areas of interest. The workshop format is interactive and hands-on and is expected to run 3 hours.

Leading or co-facilitating a workshop at the CARA national conference provides you with an excellent opportunity to share your knowledge and learning experiences, increase your exposure, and network with other research administrators and research managers.
