The True Cost of Research

March 4, 2025, 12-1PM EST.

The true cost of research is not often recognized by researchers or research administrators. This workshop will focus on identifying the full cost of doing research; how we might calculate costs that include direct and indirect cost of research; benefits of presenting full cost of research to funding agencies/donors; current practices of ICR recovery in Canadian and US institutions; and what we can do as institutions to provide more support to our researchers and the research community as a whole.
