New Phase of the Dimensions Program
March 17, 2025, 12-1PM EST.
Following the success of the five-year pilot, the Dimensions: equity, diversity and inclusion Canada program is launching a new phase of the program. This federal Tri-agency initiative was co-designed with a cohort of 17 postsecondary institutions to help address systemic barriers and foster a culture where equity, diversity and inclusion (EDI) is embedded across all aspects of research. The pilot led to increased EDI awareness, the creation of the Dimensions handbook, and facilitated the convening of a community of practice allowing participating institutions to share insights on their EDI work, successes, and challenges. A key component of the pilot was the Dimensions recognition program, where institutions could apply for recognition of their efforts to enhance EDI in their environments. The contributions of the institutions and individuals involved in the pilot have been instrumental in creating this bold and innovative program. Nathalie will talk about the experience of the pilot and how this new phase will unfold for the benefit of the postsecondary sector.
