-Explains what institutions must do to access public funding
-Explains the current issues affecting the higher education research funding environment in a named country
-Describes how to keep up to date with changes in the research environment in a named country
-Describes issues in Canada’s environment that are currently influencing higher education research funding
-Describe ways the current research funding environment has impacted on the institution’s research strategy
Presented by: Dr. Deborah Zornes
As director of research and innovation at Royal Roads University, Dr. Deborah Zornes works with faculty to develop high quality research proposals. Zornes has more than 20 years experience in research administration and has also taught in both Mohawk College programs for more than five years. Her research focuses on the role of the university in society; research impact; and research administration. Zornes is a past President of the Canadian Association of Research Administrators (CARA).
