Anna Borynec is returning to CARA following up on her highly praised Virtual Summit session "Cutting Edges Bleed: Practical and Ethical Debates on the Use of GenAI in PSE Research." This brand new "Information Literacy and AI" session will help hone your research skills by introducing basic info lit strategies using GenAI as a case study. It will demonstrate ways that you can learn about this buzzworthy (or any other) topic and keep your critical thinking skills sharp. The second half of this session will consider ways that Generative AI is at odds with many information literacy practices, and it will finish with a robust Q&A discussion with our attendees about the effects that Generative AI may be having on research processes and outcomes, as well as other topics touched on during the session.
