CARA is a dynamic organization with a myriad of activities that benefit research administrators across Canada. Our members receive announcements via our list-serve and The CARA Connection, our e-newsletter. Additionally, anyone can follow us on Twitter, view our website, and join our LinkedIn group to experience all the work we are doing in such things as professional development, advocacy, and mentoring.
CARA is pleased to announce a new partnership with Mohawk College to the benefit our membership! Mohawk College, in partnership with CARA, will deliver the Research Administration College Certificate program which is aimed at pre-management research administrators or those planning a career in research administration. In one year, students can complete the fully-online program and acquire practical knowledge that will prepare graduates for a successful and rewarding career in research administration. Registration for the spring 2018 cohort will open March 22, 2018. To apply, please email your resume and a brief expression of interest (why do you want to take the program?) to email@example.com.
In August 2017, CARA established a bursary fund at Mohawk College for students in the Research Administration Certificate and we have already raised $3000! Thank you to all our generous donors, including Josh Leslie, Stewardly, our first platinum level donor! Your donation will assist fellow CARA members in achieving their goal of earning the Research Administration Certificate – an important milestone for their careers and institutions that advances the profession. Please donate today and support the development of research administrators:https://mohawkcollege.thankyou4caring.org/pages/general-donation- Select Fund: Other and enter code 7555-97 (this code must be entered so the money goes to the bursary and not a general fund)
Thank you to those who have already donated and acknowledged the importance of research administration as a profession.
