Research administrators in Canada and the Caribbean collaborate to share expertise, best practices, and coordinate professional development opportunities. Ms. Mickel A. Allen has been pivotal in initiating and leading collaborative efforts, focusing on capacity building to strengthen research administration in the Caribbean. As CARA’s representative, she continues to play a key role in fostering connections between research administrators, facilitating the exchange of knowledge, and supporting the development of professional skills. She has been serving in this capacity since 2021.

CARA Representative to the INORMS Research Evaluation Group

The International Network of Research Management Societies established the Research Evaluation Group in 2018 to consider how best to ensure that research evaluation is meaningful, responsible and effective. Dr. Erica Conte was appointed as CARA's representative in 2022.
